Director of classical comedy shows dies
Monday, September 19th, 2011Comedy director, John Howard Davies passed away recently, after fighting cancer. Aged 72, the child actor who later became well known and respected as a director of classical comedy shows, died with his family around him at his home in Oxfordshire. (more…)
Jonathan Ross is gagged by chat show guests
Wednesday, August 31st, 2011Jonathan Ross is due to appear back on television screens with a new chat show on ITV1. Eight shows will be aired, starting in September, with three celebrity guests each week and a musical performance by a top artist. Fund raising to help riot damaged retail industry

Saturday, August 13th, 2011In an interview with Radio Times, Ronnie Corbett who famously starred in the comedy show ‘The Two Ronnies’ with partner in comedy Ronnie Barker, has spoken out about modern day comedians, accusing some of them of being offensive. In particular, Frankie Boyle seemed to be one of the worst offenders as Ronnie Corbett, aged 80, said he didn’t understand why Boyle would want to upset people. Second season of Performing Arts Centre announced

The Performing Arts Centre in Tuscarawas promises 34 events which will include comedy shows, dance, music and theatre. Star of Father Ted appears at Cardiff festival
Friday, July 22nd, 2011Cardiff Comedy Festival opened on the 13th July 2011 to kick off 17 days of fun and laughter. Some of the best comedians from the local area opened the festival, with Wes Packer appearing first. The MC is Matt Price, who although living in Wales is actually English. Three years ago, Matt Price founded the Cardiff Comedy Festival together with Scott Fitzgerald. (more…)
