Monday, April 30th, 2012Recent reports suggest that the digital channel Gold is going to revive the classic comedy show Yes, Prime Minister. The new series of the show will be penned by the original script writers Antony Jay and Jonathan Lynn, focusing on the Prime Minister Jim Hacker’s problems as he leads a coalition government. Cleese says he isn’t worried about criticism
Thursday, October 6th, 2011John Cleese has recently revealed that criticism of his writing doesn’t worry him at all. As most celebrities appear to be obsessed with the opinion of critics, Cleese is refreshingly candid in his approach to people picking apart his work. The creator and star of Fawlty Towers admitted that he found writing a much more gratifying task than acting, during an interview with Fairfax Media. Survey reveals eccentric cars are not just for sitcoms
Sunday, August 7th, 2011According to a poll conducted by Confused.com, almost half of the 2,000 drivers surveyed admitted to treating their car as part of the family. More than 25 percent have named their cars, with Charlie and Ruby being the most popular. Head of Confused.com car insurance, Gareth Kloet believes that naming your car is the same as giving a nickname to a friend or partner. Surprisingly, a third of all motorists surveyed admitted to having “carversations” with their car, telling them about their personal worries. (more…)
British comedy shows available on BBC global iPlayer

The global service has recently been launched in 11 countries which include Italy, France, Spain and Germany. The comedian, who also appeared as a sleuth in Jonathan Creek and a regular panellist on quiz show QI, said that the shows were edited thoroughly so that every joke is perfect.
